What are some of the best practices and resources for differentiated instruction and creativity?
So how can you determine the instructional readiness of your students so you can group them effectively? Consider giving students a pre-assessment at the beginning of each unit if you are not already doing diagnostic/ongoing assessment (such as IReady or NWEA Map Growth). Base the pre-assessment on a particular standard/learning objective and know what performance will look like in advance for highly proficient, proficient, below proficient, and emerging students. Then determine appropriate scaffolds or extensions for each group.

How do you balance creativity and consistency in your digital content development?
As an educational consultant, I aim to create content that can provide some easy hacks for teachers to implement that will improve their instructional practices. I also write content that supports leadership development in schools. I will either write my own content or curate that of others in this regard. Besides a desire to help others, I hope my content demonstrates my gravitas as a professional should educators be looking for more specific and longer-term support.

How do you manage and organize learning contract materials and resources?
While students are working on their learning contracts, it is essential that teachers monitor students but, as indicated here, it is also important that students own their individual growth/progress and next steps as well. In addition to implementing peer review strategies, consider allowing students the opportunity to present their portfolios to teachers, parents, and peers (student led conferencing) and determining the work samples that are included and that demonstrate progress on standards over time.
