Top 100 Companies to Watch for Remote Jobs in 2022

Update: To find the most up-to-date information, visit our page for the Top 100 Companies to Watch for Remote Jobs in 2024.

FlexJobs is thrilled to announce its ninth annual Top 100 Companies to Watch for Remote Jobs list!

Since 2014, we’ve tracked and analyzed remote job postings to help job seekers connect with companies that provide remote career opportunities and lead the way for a more flexible future at work.

Though the pandemic has continued to disrupt the workplace, it’s had a positive impact on the growth of remote work! It’s estimated that in 2019, 5.7 million workers (approximately 4.1% of the workforce) worked from home at least part-time. But by the middle of 2020, as many as one-quarter of the workforce worked remotely, with as much as 20% of the workforce predicted to work from home once the pandemic ends.

What’s more, employers discovered that not only do employees want to keep working from home at least some of the time, staff are often more productive when they work remotely. Seeing the benefits to the bottom line, more companies are switching to long-term or permanent remote work, making it easier than ever to connect with flexible employers.

Notable Trends

A FlexJobs survey found that 65% of respondents want to remain full-time remote workers, while 58% said they would search for a new job if they can’t continue working from home post-pandemic. And employers are taking note. Between January 1, 2021, and December 31, 2021, the number of remote job postings in the FlexJobs database increased 12% over 2020.

Interestingly, not only did the number of remote job postings increase, the variety of job titles and experience levels also increased. While many of the postings were for managers or experienced staff, at least 20% were for entry-level and director-level positions.

BroadPath earned the number one spot on this year’s list, with companies such as Varsity Tutors and Working Solutions in the top 10. Newcomers include HubSpot, Mayo Clinic, and Stitch Fix, while companies like Amazon, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and Wells Fargo make repeat appearances.

What Employers Think About Remote Work

These employers made our list because of the number of remote job openings they posted. However, they genuinely walk the walk when it comes to working from home. Here’s what they have to say:

“More so than ever, today’s workforce seeks out companies that have a purpose and provide opportunities to work from the safety of their home when they want. Liveops is proud to live our purpose of improving people’s lives by providing flexible opportunities to thousands of new agents in 2022.”

Liveops

“Remote work has come of age during the pandemic, and companies among the FlexJobs 100 are industry leaders defining today’s best, liberated workplaces. As a virtual business that has made this list eight years in a row, it’s great company for us to be in.”

Kim Houlne, Chief Executive, Working Solutions

“A flexible and trust-based workplace is the norm, not the exception, at SAP. We help the world run better, and that includes doing what’s best for our employees. Our unique culture is built on trust, respect, purpose, inclusion, and team spirit.”

Sophie Beiber, Head of Global Employer Branding, SAP

“Our commitment to remote work allows us to meet talent where they are, providing veterans, military spouses, displaced workers, and underrepresented communities the opportunity to thrive in delivering our purpose to bring humanity to business.”

Michael Wellman, Chief People Officer, TTEC

“We are beyond honored for FlexJobs to spotlight our dedication to the work-from-home environment over the years. They have been a tremendous partner to us for not only promoting our opportunities but providing the best associates to hire statistically. We couldn’t have done this if it wasn’t for FlexJobs and their partnership.”

Josh Layton, Recruiting Manager, Williams-Sonoma

What Job Seekers Say

But what matters most is what job seekers think about their new roles (and their experience with FlexJobs!). Here’s what people who landed jobs at some of the top 100 companies have to say:

“I’m a unique applicant: I have a disability, am still in college, and wanted something full-time so I could start saving but was unsure what the right role would be. I found this company through the FlexJobs newsletter and thought it might be a fit. I did research and then applied. Now, here I am in training. Thank you, FlexJobs, for sharing such wonderful information!”

Christina M., Customer Service Representative, TTEC

“I was extremely skeptical about having to pay for this service, but it was worth every penny! I’m really excited to start my dream job working from home so I can better manage my home/work life. Thanks, FlexJobs!”

Bryanna W., Customer Service Associate, Williams-Sonoma

“FlexJobs is easy to use and gives you full visibility into job opportunities that truly allow flexibility. As a full-time working mom, FlexJobs made it so much easier to find the right job. I’m so thankful and blessed to have FlexJobs point me in the right direction, where the grass is truly greener from a career development standpoint, not to mention work-life balance.”

Stephanie D., Field Marketing Manager, SAP

“At this point in my life, I am rejoining the task force after recuperating from my battle with cancer! (Survivor!) I really wanted a job with the flexibility to work from home in an area of expertise that would be challenging and provide a good source of income over minimum wage as I ease into retirement.”

Theresa L., Corporate Travel Service, Working Solutions

“I am now a 1099 independent contractor and business owner! FlexJobs gave me the opportunity to work with an amazing client from home while going to school at the same time. Thanks, FlexJobs. I can’t begin to explain how this has changed my life.”

Elizabeth A., Customer Service Specialist, Liveops
