What are the key skills and qualities to look for in a co-founder for a start-up?
In helping early startup founders build and execute their GTM, I often encounter non-sales/marketing/cx tech or ops-focused founders who have attempted to launch what seems good to them, using an old-school outbound sales and zero marketing/cx strategy. After missing the right audience, introducing a product that isn't easy to buy, use, or adopt, and failing to execute a flywheel of activities that reach, convert, and multiply buyers and pipeline, they realize they need the ying-and-the-yang to succeed with modern buyers. Save the time, effort, and budget of misfiring by partnering with someone who has what you don't from the start and make it someone who has good ethics and grit.
